apply for student loan online - If you’re a student from England you can apply online for:

    Tuition Fee Loans
    Maintenance Loans
    Maintenance Grants

Applying for 2016 to 2017

You can apply if you’re going to be a full-time student in the 2016 to 2017 academic year. You won’t be able to get a Maintenance Grant.

Applications will open in the summer for:

    part-time students
    students applying for an Advanced Learner Loan

Continuing students

You can still apply for the 2015 to 2016 academic year. The deadline for applying is 9 months after the first day of the month the academic year starts in.





    Before you start


The application process is different if you’re a student from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

You can’t apply online if you’re an EU student. You must download the application forms and apply by post.

You can reset your password or find your customer reference number online.

It’s best to apply online. If you can’t, use the form finder to download the application forms and guidance notes you’ll need.
If you need help using a computer

You can call Student Finance England if you want to apply online but you can’t use a computer without help.
