Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) disbursement update, 2016

For students who their administration notified helb that they are in session HELB awarded loans on 22nd January 2016 and disbursement/payment was effected on on 29th January. Students should check their accounts the beginning of the following week to confirm if the loans have reflected in their bank accounts.

A memo released by HELB a week ago read;

NOTICE TO ALL FIRST-TIME UNDERGRADUATE LOAN APPLICANTS, ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016
This is to inform you that the 2015-2016 1st time loan applications results are out. Loan processing is currently ongoing for applications received or registered recently. Loan disbursements and payments are expected to be done by the end of next week.
Email notification to successful and unsuccessful applicants is equally continually being trans-mitted.
Applicants whose Loan Application Forms (LAFs) were defective have been notified and are advised to make the necessary corrections as soon as possible.
