helb-loan disbursement - Introduction

The County Education Fund Board wishes tonotify the public that it has entered into a partnership with Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to help with receiving application forms, processing of the applications and disbursement of loans to qualifying students and recovery of the loans.

The Board issues loans to needy students taking certificate, diploma and degree in tertiary institutions and universities both private and private. The aim of partnership with HELB is to increase efficiency in receiving application forms and timely disbursement of loans to qualifying students and later recover the same.

From this financial applications shall be online through the HELB website www.helb.co.ke and this year opening of applications starts from 1st September 2016. All form should be filled correctly online, printed and attach all required documents then submit the form at Ward Administrator office.

The loan cycle is as follows

    1st September-31st January: Distributing,filling and returning of forms.
    1st February -31st April : Approval and Disbursement of loans
