2009 – 2012:   Chaired various committees in the university, for example, Anti-corruption Committee which finally came up with The Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy as well as Anti-corruption Plan (Policy) documents, and Public Complaints Committee which has always received praises from The Public Complaints Standing Committee. This culminated to the awarding of a Certificate on Resolution of Complaints and Service-Delivery in the Public Sector whereby Kisii University scored 93% which met the criteria “Very Good”.           

2009 - 2010:  Founding Dean Faculty of Commerce, Kisii University.

Curriculum Development:

As the Founding Dean in the Faculty of Commerce, I steered the development and approval of several faculty programs including 4 (four) masters’ and 2 (two) doctoral (PhD). I also initiated the hiring of competent lectures in the Faculty of Commerce as well as starting 3(three) additional departments in the faculty.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

    As a Lecturer, I prepared students for examination in the above course as examined by Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB). In June, 1999 examination, all the 9 students in my class passed Systems Theory and Management Information Systems paper.
    I also guided and counselled students to develop and facilitate individual development to enable them become Business executives in their organization.
    Through teaching of Systems Theory and MIS, I equipped the candidates with an understanding of the nature of systems, their design and application in modern organization with emphasis on Information Technology.
    As a statistics and Quantitative Techniques Lecturer, I guided students towards understanding how to collect, summarize and present statistical data, how to analyze and interpret business data and how to apply mathematical knowledge in analyzing management and economic models. Further, I guided students towards understanding the use and limitations of statistical methods in decision-making process.
    As an examiner at the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB), I do mark Business Statistics and Quantitative Techniques papers and give suggestions on how improvements in the above papers and in KASNEB as a whole can be attained. This, especially in the areas of curriculum development and candidate’s development.
