when is the disbursement of karachuonyo helb loan constituency - KARACHUONYO constituency has signed an agreement with the Higher Education Loans Board to improve education standards.

Their memorandum of understanding was reached with the constituency education kitty, Karachuonyo Constituency Education Society Fund on Sunday.

Area MP James Rege said it aims at supporting university and middle-level college students.

In the MOU, the education board will manage constituency bursary fund awarded to students in public and private universities and tertiary colleges.

Rege said the agreement will ensure transparency in the allocation of the bursaries.

"Our partnership with the Higher Education Loans Board will help us manage the bursary funds professionally," he said.

"From today, I will not handle your bursary funds. Instead they will be channelled to Helb for disbursement. The CDF board has received Sh3m to start the programme, he said.

Rege was speaking when he officiated at the signing of the MoU signing at the CDF compound.

Present was Helb chief executive officer Charles Ringera. He said the programme aims to increase the number of university and college students from Karachuonyo.
